These terms apply to the MOT tests Ringwood MOT Garage carries out at 156 Christchurch Road, Ringwood BH24 3AP, including bookings made through this website.Ringwood MOT Garage is run by The Forge Garage Winton Ltd. By booking with us you agree to these terms.

1. Bookings

Booking online reserves a time for your vehicle. Please make sure the registration and the details you give us are correct. If you need to change or cancel a booking, call us on 01425 687202 as soon as you can.

2. The MOT test

Every MOT is carried out to the DVSA’s rules and inspection manual for your vehicle’s class, and the result is recorded on the DVSA’s MOT testing service. The DVSA’s rules allow a tester to refuse to test a vehicle that cannot be inspected safely or properly — for example if it is excessively dirty or carrying a load.

3. Prices and payment

• The price shown when you book is the fee for the MOT test, and never more than the DVSA's maximum for your vehicle's class.
• The fee is for the test itself, so it is payable whether your vehicle passes or fails.
• Payment is due at the garage when the test is complete, unless we have agreed otherwise.

4. If your vehicle fails

You will receive a refusal of an MOT certificate listing each defect, and we will explain them. We never carry out any work on your vehicle without your agreement. Retests are charged in line with the DVSA’s rules, and we will tell you the cost before any retest.

5. If you disagree with the result

Please talk to us first, so that we can go through it with you. You can also appeal to the DVSA within 14 working days of the test.

6. Your vehicle and belongings

Please remove valuables before you leave your vehicle with us; we are not responsible for personal belongings left inside. Please collect your vehicle promptly once the test is done.

7. Our responsibility to you

We carry out every test with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you booked. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. If something is not right

Please tell us as soon as possible, so that we can look at it and put it right.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book is the one that applies to your booking.
